In my life, I have experienced ups and downs both privately and professionally, but overall I have always maintained a cheerful optimism. My passions have been Southeast Asia, business development, people management and coaching. At the beginning of my career, I was in the German Armed Forces for many years. There I studied and did my doctorate on the subject of German-Thai relations. After a short intermezzo in the higher service of a government agency, I joined Deutsche Bank AG. Here I gained practical management experience in the areas of sales organization, sales management, management of strategic projects and business development in Southeast Asia and Germany for almost two decades. In the process, I first came to Vietnam in 2009, where I then spent several years as a member of the management team of Deutsche Bank Vietnam, responsible for market monitoring and development of new markets. This was followed by founding a consulting firm and taking on a professorship in International Management in Munich. Since the end of 2019, I am back in Vietnam permanently, this time as country director of a foundation and recognized expert for economic development and coaching. For me, it is important in life to constantly learn, develop and renew myself. I love to proactively adapt to the many changes and challenges in life, whether as an officer, a bank manager, an entrepreneur, a professor, or a consultant.
